Report on the Poster Making Competition: Republic Day Celebration – Theme: “Patriotism”

As a continuation of the Republic Day celebrations, a poster-making competition was organized for the students of Middle school, focusing on the theme of “Patriotism.” This intra-class competition aimed to foster a sense of national pride and encourage creative expression of patriotism.
This group competition saw enthusiastic participation from the group members, who showcased their talent through vibrant and thought-provoking artwork. The participants were given a platform to visually express their love for the nation and reflect on the true meaning of patriotism in today’s context.
The participants were given a list of material required to design posters using poster paper or chart paper, design creative collages using magazines or newspapers.
The posters depicted various facets of patriotism—honouring national heroes, promoting unity in diversity, the significance of the Constitution, the Indian flag, and symbols of freedom and independence. Some participants focused on themes of social justice, communal harmony, and national progress, while others incorporated elements of India’s cultural heritage to highlight the essence of patriotism.
The class teachers reviewed the entries based on creativity, originality, adherence to the theme, and overall visual appeal. 3 best works highlighting the diverse interpretations of patriotism and the thoughtful messages conveyed through the artwork were selected for display on the class soft boards.
The poster-making competition was a successful and engaging event, celebrating the spirit of patriotism in a unique and artistic way. The participants demonstrated their deep love and respect for the nation through their artwork, reminding everyone of the importance of unity, pride, and collective responsibility in shaping the future of India. The event was a perfect continuation of the Republic Day celebrations, reinforcing the values that define the Indian identity.
