Month end Activity ‘I am special’-Sr KG
This activity will help children develop positive self-esteem in themselves. Speak about their likes and also respect the things,they are blessed with. Students have pasted their pictures on the name tag and have coloured it.The objective of this activity is to develop their fine motor & imaginative skills.Students have also shared why they think they are special while the topic ‘I am Special’ was taken in the class. The activity encouraged the student’s ability to communicate their feelings. Students thoroughly enjoyed doing the activity during the session.
Activity: Month-end Activity- ‘Ferns & Petals’-V
The objective of the activity was to teach an appreciation of beauty and nature and provide an opportunity to beautify and care for their environment by making various types of floral arrangements. In addition, flower arranging activities help reduce stress, encourage, and improve the manual dexterity and sensory stimulation in children. The students also learnt that to arrange flowers in a particular manner, it is necessary to become acquainted with all
the elements of good design. The elements being colour, light, form, pattern, texture, and size. The students used a variety of materials ranging from fresh cut flowers and leaves, dried flowers and leaves, paper flowers and leaves, decorative fillers, etc., to make bouquets, wreaths, vase and basket arrangements.
The activity was enjoyed by all the students irrespective of their abilities and skill levels. It taught the students to choose colour schemes, patterns and above all care for nature’s gifts. To conclude, the activity was a fresh and colourful start to the year!
Topic: ‘Making files and folders’-VI
Students of all divisions prepared very creative and innovative files, folders, organizers, book holders etc from different waste materials. They used reusable and recyclable materials like newspapers, old books, files, card boards, shoe boxes and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed. The values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse etc are imbibed on the young heart and minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring our environment. The focus of the activity was to create a platform to exhibit their creative talent. The children participated earnestly in the fun-filled activity and came up with amazing ideas. It was a great delight for the eyes to see such innovative creations created by children.
This activity, set in the mood for the new beginning of the year with full zeal which will definitely grow in leaps and bounds.
Activity: Save Planet Earth -Placards-VII
An Inter-House Placards Making Competition was organized for the students of the std VII A, B, C, D on 29th June 2022 in their respective classrooms. The theme of the competition was ‘Save Earth’ or ‘Climate Change’. The young learners displayed their artistic skills through an array of art pieces and slogans which gave the message of saving our mother Earth and providing a greener environment for the future generations. All students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm. It was a great opportunity to watch these young minds creating and displaying their ideas on paper after a long time. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity.
Topic: ‘Seed Balls Making’ activity.”-VIII
The objective of this activity were to involve students in preparing Seed Balls to create awareness about a better environment among the public, in an innovative manner.On 29 th June, std VIII made around 500 to 600 Seed Balls of different vegetable seeds such as Mustard, pumpkin, muskmelon, mango, jackfruit papaya and many more. The Seed Balls were made by mixing soil, compost, and vegetable seeds. The students were instructed by the concerned teachers about the procedure of making the Seed Balls. After making the seed balls, they will be kept for drying for 24hours. The Seed Balls will be kept in bowl and labelled.
