Learning happens better not only between closed walls but in open spaces too. The students of the Young Entrepreneur club got an opportunity to witness the same.
A visit to the College of Engineering, Pune was organized for the students of the club wherein they got a chance to interact with some new as well as experienced entrepreneurs. The students were first introduced to ‘Bhau’ – A Startup Incubation Centre that encourages
young entrepreneurs or even students by funding and guiding them.
The outdoor visit started with a PowerPoint Presentation by an alumnus of the institute. A mechanical engineer by profession, Mr. Degaonkar shared his journey with the students. The session ended in an interactive manner. The resource person was glad to see the curiosity of the students.
A short ten-minute break was given to the students. They were offered tea and biscuits.
Mr. Bhushan Gaikwad and Mr. Shubham Shetty then shared their experiences and struggles when they started their companies. They shared their views on how they resigned from their MNCs to pursue their liking and interests.
They also touched upon career opportunities in the field of engineering.
Lastly the students were given a medical industrial demo, an app which two resource person Mr. Prashant Korde and Mr. Rajendra Sapre had developed. It was a machine which helped tracking BP levels, ECG and height. The interesting part of the app was that all the details
were saved on a government site which is accessible easily. The entire procedure was paperless.
The students were overwhelmed by today’s interaction with these entrepreneurs. The students were highly inspired by the ideas and suggestions and wish to take forward such initiatives as per their dreams.
