REPORT OF PICNIC – STD IX
The most awaited day of the year is class Picnic. This year’s picnic was scheduled as a part of Children’s day celebration. On a beautiful sunny and bright morning of 14 th November the cheerful, excited and young minds of Std IX of Vikhe Patil School, Pune travelled to Suresh
Naik Space Park, Hinjewadi. They were accompanied by class teachers and volunteers of Trek fit organization.
We started at 8.30 am after the assembly and a feeling of a great day ahead. The students sang songs in the bus until they reached the venue. On the way we were served delicious hot Vadapav in the bus. After reaching the venue, students headed for different activities in 2 different groups. Students watched a Robot dance and a documentary on Mangalyan. This was followed by adventurous space activities. Students experienced zero gravity and Moon walk. They also enjoyed some exciting rides such as zombie ride, sky cycling, walking on rope and space
elevator.
After a tiring and exhilarating morning, we headed for lunch where we relished different items of food. After lunch, we visited the ISRO exhibition which displayed the information about Astronauts Rakesh Sharma, Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams. A documentary about ISRO was also shown to the students. The main attraction of exhibition was the photo shoot where students were allowed to take pictures in the costume of an Astronaut.
Lastly, the students danced with great energy to their favourite music. Before leaving the venue, snacks were served to all of us.
We reached the school at 6.30 pm. Everyone had a big smile on their faces indicating they had a great fun.
