“As the festival of lights illuminates the world, may it bring peace, joy and serenity to your life.”

The Lower Primary Section celebrated Diwali with immense joy and enthusiasm. A Diwali party was organized for our tiny tots in their respective classrooms. The celebration was aimed at teaching the students the cultural significance of Diwali, the festival of lights, and promoting a spirit of joy and togetherness. It also fostered a sense of inclusivity by recognizing and honouring various cultural backgrounds. The event celebrated values like the triumph of light over darkness and importance of goodwill and harmony.

The children came dressed in bright and colourful outfits, adding to the festive atmosphere and making the celebration even more vibrant and cheerful. The classrooms radiated a wonderful vibe, beautifully decorated with diyas, lanterns and torans crafted by the children the day before. The celebration began with the morning assembly on the PA system where the students narrated the significance of Diwali.

Later the children had a wonderful time playing various games in their classrooms, laughing and cheering as they enjoyed each game. They thoroughly enjoyed dancing and moving to the lively music with energy filling the classrooms with joy and laughter making the event truly memorable for everyone. They also shared their unique cultural traditions for celebrating Diwali, enriching the experience for all. At the end, the children delighted in savouring the homemade food they had brought, enjoying each dish and sharing their favorite treats with friends, which added warmly to the festive spirit of the celebration.

In line with our school’s commitment to promoting safe and responsible celebration the class teachers explained the importance of handling fireworks cautiously and students were encouraged to opt for eco-friendly alternatives. Emphasis was placed on noise pollution, the impact on animals, and ways to celebrate sustainably.

In conclusion, the Diwali party was not just a celebration but also an opportunity for students to learn about cultural traditions, responsibilities and community values. The Diwali party fostered a spirit of unity and joy making it a cherished memory for everyone.
