A Clay Mural Activity was successfully conducted under the expert guidance of Ms. Vidhi Gundecha, a skilled ceramic artist and art educator known for her work with natural mediums and tactile art forms. Ms. Vidhi is pursuing a diploma in Fine Arts with a specialisation in Sculpture and Modelling. She was accompanied by Ms Diya Shinde who ably helped her in conducting the
activity.
The session began with a brief introduction through a powerpoint presentation to the art of clay mural making, followed by a hands-on workshop where participants explored various patterns, textures, and design techniques using natural clay. Ms. Gundecha demonstrated how to shape, carve, and assemble individual clay pieces into a cohesive mural.
The students enthusiastically engaged in the process—molding clay, experimenting with traditional and contemporary patterns, and expressing their creativity through unique mural designs. The atmosphere was filled with joy, curiosity, and a deep sense of satisfaction as each participant saw their artwork take shape. The activity not only enhanced artistic skills but also encouraged mindfulness and collaborative learning. By the end of the session, the murals reflecting diverse expressions and cultural motifs stood as a proud testament to the groups creativity.
