
Report on the special assembly for Children’s Day on 14th November
“Every child is a miracle and each has a special way to make our lives meaningful”
A special assembly was held to celebrate Children’s Day on 14th November, 2025 at the amphitheatre for students. The highlight of the assembly was that it was presented entirely by the Staff of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune.
The programme commenced with the Prayer and School Anthem, led by the Senior Secondary Teachers, who presented the prayer “Har Desh Me Tu” with dignity and solemnity. This was followed by the Thought for the Day and the Significance of the Day presented by the school’s Library and Medical Department, respectively.
The Administration Staff then shared some Interesting Facts on Children’s Day, and an Air Quality Index Update contributing to the academic and environmental awareness of the audience. Teachers of the Sports Department delivered the News Headlines encompassing International, National and Sports news, thereby ensuring dissemination of relevant current affairs.
A thematic skit titled “Welcome to the MP Show” was presented by the Lower Primary Section Teachers, showcasing creativity and entertainment yet subtly highlighting the dangers of using abbreviations in formal conversations. This was followed by a Fusion Dance performance by the Co-Scholastic Team, which was a superbly coordinated blend of jazz, kathak, mayur pankh chau, bharatnatyam and folk which added a cultural dimension to the programme.
Subsequently, the Middle School Teachers presented a Medley of Hindi Songs based on children, which enhanced the aesthetic and cultural value of the event. The Lower Primary Section Teachers then presented a coordinated foot tapping dance performance to the song “Dreamers,” adding vibrancy to the proceedings.
An Inspirational Song titled “Kurkure Se Kurram” performed with perfect sync by the Secondary Section Teachers, left the audience motivated and cheerful providing a meaningful and uplifting closure to the event. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
Overall, the programme was conducted in a structured, disciplined, and efficient manner. All participating departments and sections adhered to the planned schedule and contributed effectively to the success of the event. The event was well appreciated by all students as it marked a beautiful beginning to their Children’s Day celebratios.
