Activity-6: Field visit to Science Park
Date: 24.01.2026
Venue: Pimpri-Chinchwad
Agenda of the activity: Experiential learning through interactive science exhibits.
‘Science comes alive when learning steps beyond textbooks, and the visit to the Science Park was a perfect example of this.’
The Cosmic Explorer Club organized a field visit to the Science Park, Pimpri Chinchwad, with the objective of promoting hands-on learning and sparking scientific curiosity among its members. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom through observation, interaction, and experimentation.
The Science Park houses a wide range of interactive models and exhibits covering disciplines such as physics, astronomy, biology, environmental science, and technology. It features a Fun Science Gallery showcasing engaging scientific exhibits. The centre is divided into seven core areas: Automobile, Fun Science, Energy, Climate Change, 3D Show, Dino Outdoor Park, and a Planetarium.
Club members actively engaged with the exhibits, which were designed to simplify complex scientific principles through practical and interactive demonstrations. Among all the attractions, the 3D show and the Planetarium visit were the most exciting and informative experiences for the members.
The park also includes several outdoor learning centres such as the Dino Park and Outdoor Park, which feature large geometric structures and functional scientific instruments. These exhibits effectively connected theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, enhancing conceptual clarity and understanding.
Overall, the visit significantly enriched the learning experience of the members. It encouraged scientific thinking, curiosity, and collaborative learning, while helping participants gain a deeper appreciation of how science influences everyday life and technological advancement.
