Activity 1- Making of Continental Chilly chat with a twist

Agenda of the activity:
The activity aimed to highlight the importance of experiential learning, vocational exposure, and the development of practical life skills from an early age. It also sought to foster creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and self-reliance, moving beyond traditional rote-learning methods.
As a continuation of the skill-based education activity conducted on Monday, 8 June 2026, students had previously worked in groups to devise creative recipes, list ingredients, write preparation methods, and give their dishes unique names. Based on a survey conducted on, the most highly rated recipe was selected for preparation during this session.
The activity commenced with an introductory briefing by the group whose recipe received the highest rating. Following the introduction, students actively participated in a hands-on cooking session. Using simple, ready-to-use ingredients, they applied their chopping and grating skills to prepare and recreate the selected dish.
The activity encouraged students to explore their creativity while preparing a popular dish with their own innovative twist. Working collaboratively in groups, students demonstrated teamwork, communication, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. The session also provided valuable opportunities for peer learning and helped build confidence as students independently completed their assigned tasks.
Teachers facilitated the activity by guiding students throughout the process and ensuring safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
Overall, the activity was a great success and effectively achieved its objective of promoting experiential learning while enhancing practical life skills, creativity, and teamwork among students.
