Birth Anniversary Celebrations Report of Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil (Padma Shri Awardee)

The Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune celebrated the birth anniversary of a great visionary leader Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil (Padma Shri Awardee) on 19th August 2024.
The birth anniversary celebration of Padma Shri began with the lighting of the lamp and paying a floral tribute to the visionary by Principal Ms. Mrinalini and Vice Principal Mr. Amol Patil. Students of Std VI A conducted the assembly which began with the prayer, thought for the day, significance of the day, some interesting facts on the life of Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil (Padma Shri Awardee) and reading of the news headlines for the day. VI A choir singers presented a devotional song ‘Ata Uthvu Sare Raan’ accompanied by live music under the guidance of the music teacher.
19 th August also being celebrated as ‘Rakshabandhan’, students narrated the significance of this auspicious day followed by recitation of a Marathi Poem- ‘Chote Se Bahin-Bhau.’
On this auspicious occasion, different activities were conducted for students as per standards such as Documentary on Padma Shri’s life, Quiz Competition, Slogan Writing and Poster Making etc. The eventful day ended on a sweet note with coconut barfi being distributed to all the students in the memory of Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil (Padma Shri Awardee)
