Discover your passion, Shape your Career!
“Your career is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy every step along the way.”
In an era defined by rapid technological advancement and evolving industries, a career fair emerges as one of the indispensable solutions, offering a wealth of benefits that extend far beyond the confines of the campus. A career fair is an open field of guidance, consultancy, and exploration of multiple career options for students. It is a valuable opportunity for students to connect with a pool of potential
employers. With a view to provide access to our students and help them explore options, a career fair was organised in Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune on the 30th July for the students and parents of grades X, XI & XII. Parents and students of grade X of VPMS Lohegaon too visited the fair.
The lighting of the lamp signifies the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair and light over darkness. The lamp was lit by our Principal Ms/B.Mrinalini to mark the inauguration of the event. There were 30 renowned Universities who visited and students were directed to each stall to have one to one interaction with the experts. Students had a great opportunity to network with potential
employers and get access to their free workshops and seminars. The fair offered a multitude of information and gave students a chance to explore alternate employment avenues. It also offered a chance to speak to the employers to understand their entry level options about what makes an ideal employee for those positions. Students got introduced to the alternative career paths that they might not have thought about previously giving them a broader idea of Liberal Education and its benefits. Approximately 400 students and a few parents attended the event.
Being able to interact one to one with the university representatives, gave students an idea about the valuable majors, minors and optional classes that they can take up while pursuing their degrees. Students were very enthusiastic and were found asking questions and trying to understand what each stall had to offer. Beyond simply relying on information in job postings, students gained a detailed understanding of these positions directly from the employers. Having 30 universities all under one roof was definitely a great opportunity for students to explore various career options for themselves. Many attendees expressed their gratitude for having organised this fair. In conclusion, the Career Fair was a resounding success enabling students to know the diverse and holistic resources and services to aid them in all aspects of job-seeking and employment sector marketability.
