Activity: Special Assembly: Children’s Day

Children’s Day in India is celebrated on the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru which is 14 th November. Jawaharlal Nehru devoted his life to ensuring that every child has the fundamental right to education and worked tirelessly to establish various educational institutions in India. The significance of Children’s Day in India can be traced back to the vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who believed that the future of the country lies in the hands of its children. The Children’s Day of the Pre–Primary section was celebrated on 23 rd November 2023. The
students came dressed in beautiful coloured dresses.
The Special Assembly commenced with the school prayer, followed by Thought for the Day, Children’s Day facts, and some fun facts.
A skit and a dance were performed by the teachers for the little Vikheites. The children and kaka, maushis also enthusiastically participated in the dance. The students relished having misal pav and gulab jamun. They enjoyed playing games like housie, passing the ball, hopscotch, etc.
