Report for Children’s Day

Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future. Children’s day is celebrated in India every year on 14 th November on the birthday of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru to raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. This year, on 14 th November the school had Diwali vacation. Hence it was celebrated on 23 rd November 2023.
A special assembly was conducted by the teachers. MOD for the day was Ms Shirish Sant. The assembly began with the Prayer ‘In His Time.’ The thought for the day and its explanation was read out by Ms Shaheen Chaiwala. It was followed by the current affairs by Ms Yogita Yadav and fun facts by Ms Priya Nayar. Then the enthusiastic teachers of Lower Primary section presented an energetic dance on the song ‘I won’t give up’. Then the upper primary section presented a melodious rendition of the song ‘Believe’. This was followed by an absolutely scintillating flash mob by the enthusiastic teachers of secondary and senior secondary section. The principal Ms Mrinalini and Vice Principal
Mr. Amol Patil also joined the flash mob. The students also could not stop themselves from joining them. The programme ended with the national anthem. The program was deftly compered by Ms Pratiksha Sadafule. It was a vibrant and lively programme which was much enjoyed by the students.
Throughout the day various events were organised to celebrate children’s day. A friendly cricket match was organized between teachers and students. It was a seven over match conducted on the school ground. Students opted to bat first. They had put a challenge of 68 runs for the teachers. Teachers won the match. Also, two throwball matches were organized between teachers and std 9 and teachers and std 10. The match against std 10 was won by teachers whereas the match between std 9 and teachers was won by std 9.
The day was filled with fun for the students. It also strengthened the bond between students and teachers. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the students as well as teachers.
