1) To deepen our student's understanding of the Indian history
2). Commemorating and honouring the martyrs by paying respects to the soldiers who lost their lives in wars, acknowledging their sacrifices, and preserving their memory.
3) Raising awareness of the ongoing consequences of war, including the social, economic, and psychological impacts on soldiers, civilians, and nations.

The War Memorial Museum in Pune stands as a tribute to the valour and sacrifices of soldiers from the Indian Armed Forces. Situated in the heart of Pune, the museum offers a profound glimpse into the history of India’s military past, featuring artifacts, memorabilia, and exhibitions from various wars and battles. The visit aimed to honour the contributions of soldiers, educate young minds about India’s
wartime history, and promote reflection on the cost of freedom.

The visit began with a walk through the Memorial Hall, where visitors can pay their respects to the soldiers. The hall features a collection of names of soldiers who died in different wars, etched on plaques along the walls encouraging moments of reflection and remembrance.

The museum houses extensive exhibits detailing India’s involvement in various wars. The exhibitions were organized chronologically, with special sections dedicated to the First and Second World Wars, the Indo-Pakistani wars, and the 1962 India-China conflict.
