Report – Field Trip to Sambhaji Park Aquarium
Title – A Day of Discovery at Sambhaji Park Aquarium
On Thursday, 8 th August 2024, the students of grade 2 set off on an exciting adventure to the Sambhaji Park Aquarium, Pune. With eager faces and hearts full of curiosity, the students boarded the school bus, chattering excitedly about the aquatic life they were about to encounter.
Departure from School: The students departed from the school at 9:00 AM, accompanied by their teachers and two helpers.
Arrival at Aquarium: The group arrived at Sambhaji Park Aquarium at 9:20 AM.
Exploring the Aquarium:
As the students stepped into the aquarium, their eyes widened in awe at the colourful and diverse aquatic life. The first room showcased a variety of freshwater fish, including goldfish, graceful angelfish etc. The students were fascinated by the different shapes and colours, eagerly pointing out their favourite fish to their friends. They were keen to read the names of different types of fish like tiger shark, pacu, scats, red parrot etc. They were amazed to see the turtles too.
The Garden Exploration:
After the aquarium tour, the group moved on to explore the beautiful garden. The garden, with its wide array of plants and trees, provided a perfect setting for the students to learn about different types of plants. The children were particularly fascinated by the squirrels running from one tree to the other. The garden was clean and quiet, inviting visitors to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
A Safe and Smooth Experience
The entire trip was well-organized, with all safety guidelines strictly followed. The students were well behaved and followed instructions diligently. We departed the aquarium at 10:00 AM and returned to school by 10:20AM.
Reflecting on the Day
The field trip to Sambhaji Park Aquarium and Garden was a great success. It provided the Grade 2 students with a unique opportunity to explore and learn outside the classroom. The combination of observing aquatic life and exploring nature made it an unforgettable experience. Such trips are invaluable in nurturing curiosity and a love for nature among young learners.
