Club report for Handicraft Club – 23 rd November 2024.
Name of the activity- In-house Activity-Flower making activity.
Venue- Senior Block Art room.
As aptly said ‘When one bloom with creativity it helps one’s imagination blossom.’
The fifth activity conducted on 23 rd November was a flower making activity which introduced basic crafting techniques such as twisting, bending, and shaping materials to create various flower types and structures. The flower-making activity began with a brief introduction to the materials, where participants were shown how to manipulate pipe cleaners to form basic shapes. They were then guided through the process of creating a variety of flower types, including simple daisy-like flowers, tulips, and roses by Ms. Isha Inamdar Participants were encouraged to experiment with different colour combinations and designs, allowing for personalization of each flower. Instructions were provided on bending, twisting, and layering pipe cleaners to form petals and stems, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
The activity was a success in promoting creativity and fine motor skills. Most participants displayed high levels of engagement and enthusiasm, experimenting with various designs and combinations. The activity also provided an opportunity for relaxation and focus, allowing individuals to immerse themselves in the crafting process.
The flower-making activity using pipe cleaners was an enjoyable and educational experience. It achieved its objectives of enhancing creativity, developing fine motor skills, and promoting individual expression. Participants left the activity with a sense of accomplishment, having created personalized floral crafts that they could proudly display or gift. The use of simple, accessible materials made the activity suitable for participants of various ages and skill levels, ensuring its success as an engaging handicraft experience.
