Report on ‘Rainbow of Rhythms’- Activity of the month of April 2024
Event – Inter house dance competition ( solo and group performance)

When we try to translate the emotions of our life energy into moves, we dance. To hone the dancing skills of the students, an Inter House Solo and Group Dance Competition was organized on 26 th April 2024, in the seminar hall of the school, with the theme ‘Rainbow of Rhythms’ as the activity of the month. The competition was held in two categories: Classical and Freestyle. Principal Ms Mrinalini and Vice Principal Mr Amol Patil attended the event
True to the theme, the vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and this was a reflection of their passion and hard work which was seen through the practices over the last few days. The choreography, rhythm, synchronization and presentation of all the students were very good as it was a splendid showcase of a plethora of styles. The fun filled extravaganza featured varied forms of classical, western and folk dances such as Bhangra, Kathak, Bharatnatyam interspersed with western style which kept the audience enthralled.
Mr. Akram Shaik and Ms Ashmika Myadam, dance teachers of the school were the esteemed judges for the event. They praised the impressive choreography and graceful movements of the performers which drew thunderous applause from the spectators.
In the solo dance classical- Ira Gambhir from Emerald House bagged the first prize. The second position had a tie between Dhrti Rao of Emerald and Vidhi Jaju of Ruby House. The third position went to Amodita Mukherjee of Coral House.
In the group dance category Emerald House were declared the winners followed by Coral in second position, Ruby in third position and Sapphire in fourth position.
The Principal Ms Mrinalini, appreciated the efforts of the students in putting up a splendid performance. The activity was well enjoyed by the students, judges and teachers equally.
