Kaleidoscope 2024-25: Celebrating Creativity and Learning
Education is most effective when it goes beyond textbooks and encourages curiosity among students, by developing hands-on exploration. With this vision ‘Kaleidoscope 2024-25’, a multidisciplinary exhibition was organised for the students of the Upper Primary Section on
Saturday, 8 th of February.
The event commenced on a unique note with a specially scripted musical banter between teachers and students. Designed as an interactive riddle session by weaving academic subjects into a lively performance, the inauguration set the stage for a multidisciplinary learning experience.
Following the inauguration, visitors were invited to embark on an immersive journey through a wide variety of exhibits and performances. The corridors buzzed with excitement as puppet shows unfolded at different intervals. The performance, Beyond the Blue Light, used puppets, humour and storytelling to explore the influence of screen time in our lives. Another puppet show, titled ‘Little by Little’ was a metaphorical narration of personal growth and learning. Each classroom was aesthetically transformed into a ‘mini-gallery’ by the respective class teacher. Exhibits of all subjects, ranging from Environmental Studies to Art and, Mathematics to the languages were on display. The classrooms were organised into thematic zones, each representing a different subject. Visitors were treated to a myriad of displays including a wide spectrum of static and working EVS models, challenging Math brain teasers and various language games. The paintings and craft items created by the young artists further added to the aesthetics of the venues.
The highlight of Kaleidoscope included the live talent shows, where students demonstrated their skills in real time. Visitors were treated to some brilliant musical performances while witnessing intricate handicrafts being created on the spot.
The ‘Author’s Corner’ featured the budding author, Aashna Malkarnekar from Std 5. Through her interactions she shared her impressive writing journey and inspired fellow students to explore the world of storytelling.
Adding vibrancy to the event were various co-curricular stalls which included the Fine Arts Corner, the Yoga Zone and the Performing Arts section.
In conclusion, Kaleidoscope 2024-25 was a testament to VPMS Pune’s commitment to provide comprehensive education that transcends traditional boundaries. The mélange of the varied learning experiences, provided the students with an opportunity to explore their
interests and showcase their talent. In the true sense, the event succeeded in celebrating creativity and learning, leaving both participants and visitors inspired.
