Club Activity: 5
Date: Saturday, 22nd November 2025
Venue: VPMS Pune
The Heritage club arranged an indoor activity on 22nd November, 2025. It was a film screening activity. This activity aimed at creating awareness of the cultural significance coupled with mythological aspects of a war-stricken community. Moreover, it also aimed at broadening the horizons and perspectives of the students towards the aesthetics.
‘Life is Beautiful’ was the film screened for the students. Against the backdrop of unrest and hollowness caused due to the of France and Germany war, people lived pessimistically. The protagonist of the film sets an example to live cheerfully even in the direst adversities of life. An element of humour, pathos, and optimism used in the film kept the club members engaged throughout. A lot depends on your perspective was another message given through this film. Those lived cheerfully, even the destiny favours those was the subtle message conveyed.
The powerful plot, excellent acting skills, moving backdrop of the old European cities, crafty use of camera …..all these factors made this activity interesting.
‘ This film screening activity gave us the experience of a book reading on European war background and the lives of the people and children. We thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
