Little Innovators Club

Report – Activity 1
Date of activity: Saturday, 26 th April 2025

Welcome to the Little Innovators Club — where young minds spark big ideas!

The Little Innovators Club is more than just a club — it’s a thriving ecosystem that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in children. Through hands-on activities, real-world challenges, and engaging group projects, young learners are empowered to think like inventors, problem-solvers, and designers. Every session is an invitation to explore new ideas, experiment boldly and bring concepts to
life. Our club is built on the belief that learning should be joyful, purposeful, and deeply connected to the world around us. That’s why we’ve partnered with Lend A Hand India’s Karigar – School of Applied Learning, a pioneering institution founded in 2020 to demonstrate a transformative model of vocational education. Karigar serves as a vibrant skills hub where innovation meets craftsmanship, offering a wide range of multi-skill training opportunities for learners of all ages.

At Karigar, students receive experiential training in areas such as:
 Carpentry and woodworking
 Gardening and landscaping
 Electrical systems and wiring
 Fabrication and metalwork
 Automobile maintenance and repair
 Plumbing and construction
 Food preservation and baking

The first activity commenced with the introduction to LAHI and quick detour of the Karigar School of Applied Sciences campus. Students were intrigued to see the mobile version of this school i.e Skills on Wheels (buses equipped with the facility of mobile skill training). The students were taken to the Electromechanical lab thereafter. The resource person explained about the various components of electronics like LED bulbs, coloured wires, assembly boards.etc. Students were guided to prepare a traffic signal, buzzer and electric circuit through coding using the Arduino and output devices. Through structured workshops, skill-based courses, and hobby classes, participants develop both
technical abilities and life skills — such as teamwork, communication, planning, and resilience. These experiences provide a practical foundation for creative problem-solving and responsible innovation.

This is a space where imagination takes flight and young minds become tomorrow’s changemakers.
