Activity Of The Month- Do It Yourself Competition:
Date: 27 th June 2025
The activity of the month featured a series of engaging *DIY (Do-It-Yourself)* competitions, where students from four houses—Ruby, Coral, Sapphire, and Emerald showcased their creativity and teamwork. Each house was assigned a unique task to complete within a set timeframe, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a sense of healthy competition.
Ruby House: Making Lanterns
Objective: To design and create decorative lanterns using recycled materials.
Outcome: The Ruby house participants crafted beautiful lanterns with intricate designs, demonstrating excellent creativity and resourcefulness. Their lanterns were admired for their aesthetic appeal and eco-friendly approach.
Coral House: Making and Decorating a Lost and Found Box
Objective: To create a functional and visually appealing lost and found box for the class.
Outcome: The Coral house team designed a well-organized and decorated box that was both practical and attractive. Their attention to detail and teamwork were commendable.
Sapphire House: Making a Creative Border for the Class Board
Objective: To create an engaging and thematic border for the class board.
Outcome: The Sapphire house participants showcased their artistic skills by designing a vibrant and thematic border that added a touch of creativity to the class board. Their work reflected a strong sense of collaboration and artistic flair.
Emerald House: Making a Beautiful Wall Hanging
Objective: To design and create a stunning wall hanging using various materials.
Outcome: The Emerald house team crafted a beautiful wall hanging that highlighted their creativity and attention to detail. The piece was admired for its beauty and the innovative use of materials.
The competitions were judged by Ms. Anuja Bhoj based on the following criteria:
Creativity and Originality: How unique and creative the project was.
Teamwork: How well the team members collaborated and contributed to the task.
Presentation: The overall presentation and aesthetic appeal of the project.
Functionality: How practical and functional the project was (where applicable).
The Result:-
First Place- Emerald house
Second Place- Ruby House
Third Place- Coral House
Fourth Place- Sapphire House
The DIY competitions were a great success, highlighting the students creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their talents but also fostered a sense of healthy competition among the houses. The students actively participated and enjoyed the activity.
