Report of National Mathematics
National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22th December to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Srinivasan Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who spend his whole life to invent different concepts of Mathematics. On 13 th December 2024 Mathematics Day was
celebrated in our school. Under the guidance of Principal B. Mrinalini, Students of classes of Std I to Std XII of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune celebrated and participated in different activities of Mathematics Day Celebrations.
As part of the celebration, students of std I to std IX organized and conducted special assembly under the guidance of Math teachers. Assembly started with a prayer, thought for the day and followed by special items presented by students from different classes, some of them are as follows:-

Along with these an inter house Mathematical relay was conducted to establish integration with sports. House boards were decorated with the themes – Math Talk and how it changed the classroom, Invisible Math and tricks in calculation, Mistakes in math and how to overcome them and Math key words and formulae.
The National Mathematics Day was celebrated in school with the objectives of making students understand the significance of mathematics in daily life. Further, the aim of activity was to explore various mathematical concepts in a creative manner and to create students’ interest in Mathematics.
The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the activities.
