Report on National Science Day Celebration 2023

The students of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune celebrated ‘National Science Day’ on 28th February 2023.This day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the ‘ Raman Effect’ by the genius Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman. The theme for National Science Day 2023 is ‘Global Science for Global Well-being’
As a part of the National Science Day Celebration, the classboards, house boards and other common boards were decorated with different themes related to science from the first week of February. Upper primary and middle school jointly conducted a special assembly to mark this occasion. The assembly began with the thought of the day, followed by the significance of the day. A few students dressed up as famous scientists from various fields and addressed the audience. One of the students disseminated information on ‘Plagiarism in Scientific Writing’
which was followed by an enactment of the poem ‘Thinking like a scientist’.
The main objective was to spread a message about the significance of science in our daily lives.
