An enlightening session on Operation Sindoor was conducted under the auspices of the National Cadet Corps on 2nd August 2025 at the Fergusson College amphitheatre. The guest speaker for the event was Colonel Ravi Ranjan, Commanding Officer, Shivneri Brigade,
Aundh.
Col. Ranjan detailed the execution of Operation Sindoor, sharing valuable insights into its planning and the transition from initial setbacks to eventual success. Notably, he highlighted the crucial role played by the daughters of India, emphasizing that it was women officers
who were on the frontlines during this historic operation.
He strongly encouraged girl cadets to consider a future in the NDA (National Defence Academy) and other branches of the Armed Forces, emphasizing that dedication and courage know no gender.
The session also included a brief interactive segment where Cadet Krish Thamman and Cadet Shravani Kelkar engaged with Col. Ranjan, asking questions about the operation. The Colonel appreciated their enthusiasm and urged them to strive for excellence in their
journey toward serving the nation.
The event was inspiring, informative, and a significant motivator for all cadets, especially the young women aspiring to join the defence services.
