Report: Pet Day
Date of Event: Friday, 22 nd November 2024
“The unconditional love of a pet can do more than keep you company.”
The Pet Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and the children got their pets like Husky, Pitbull, Persian cat, parrot and a fish bowl. Also, one child got a rescue love bird and explained how he had saved the little bird.
The little ones were thrilled to see the pets and enjoyed petting/touching them. There was a lot of excitement and squeals of delight. All the children were informed about how pets add value to our lives by giving us unconditional love, what kind of food is to be given to them and which food can harm them. The children were also asked to keep water for the birds on their balconies and around their homes especially during the summertime.
The prime objective of organising Pet Day was to create a sense of responsibility and also to sensitise the children to show respect to the animals.
The pets also decrease stress, improve heart health and even help children with their emotional and social skills. The bond between humans and pets is indeed beautiful.
