Report – Sports Day

The Pre-Primary Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy on 2nd February 2026. The VPMS Pune campus was filled with excitement as tiny tots participated actively in various fun-filled activities.

The Pre-Primary Sports Day was a memorable occasion that successfully promoted physical fitness, mental well-being, confidence, and overall development among the young learners.

The programme began with a cheerful welcome, followed by a walk past and a colourful mass drill that used props such as headgear and ribbons. These exercises helped the children relax, improve focus, and prepare both their minds and bodies for the day, highlighting the importance of physical activity for mental well-being.

Various races, such as running races, fun races, and relay races, were conducted. These activities helped enhance physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork, while also supporting the children’s mental and emotional health by encouraging enjoyment, focus, and self-confidence. The encouraging cheers from parents and teachers created a positive and joyful atmosphere, motivating every child to participate with enthusiasm. The children displayed great excitement, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Ms Kesar Khinvasara, the Chief Guest then addressed the gathering. In the address, she appreciated the efforts of the school in organizing such a joyful event and emphasized the importance of sports and exercise from an early age. The Chief Guest highlighted how fun races and physical activities help children stay happy, confident, and mentally strong, and encouraged parents and teachers to support children in developing healthy habits.

The programme ended with children receiving gifts and certificates, leaving them proud and motivated. A vote of thanks was offered to the Chief Guest,School Management,Principal, Vice Principal, staff, and parents. Sports Day concluded joyfully, highlighting the importance of play, exercise, and fun races for the well-being of our tiny tots.
