Orientation Report

As a part of Pune Climate Warrior, Season 4, many teachers from different schools across Pune, were oriented about the various activities and events to be held in the year 2025-26. Around hundred schools will be taking part in various initiatives under program this year.

Ms Vandan Chavan, former Member of Rajya Sabha along Ms Divya Chavan gave a brief introduction about the activities to be carried out.

Students from classes V to VIII will be participating in the yearlong activities based on climate change, biodiversity and wildlife will be conducted. The activities will aim at sustainable approach in saving our environment.

Tentative activities were discussed which could be introduced to students.

Dr. Sanskruti Menon from CEE showed an impactful presentation about causes of climate change and the adverse impact of the same. A case-based study session was also a part of the orientation.

Mr. Anand Chordiya, who is the head at Suhana Masale, briefed about the activities that could be done at school level.

Mr. Anuj Khare, a member of the State Wildlife Board, Maharashtra, gave inputs about nature walks, prohibition in wildlife, and extinct species.

The initiative taken by Pune Climate Warrior plays an important role is sensitising the next generation to consciously prioritising the environmental issues encouraging schools to engage students proactively to be a part of the global solution.
