We started our day by visiting Pataleshwar Caves and Jangli maharaj Mandir and from there, proceeded to explore the “Heritage Yatra”.
On World Heritage Day for Monuments and Sites, to peep into the heart of Pune and relive its glorious past through “Anubhuti” – a heritage walk was organised by The Pune Municipal Corporation from 18 th to 24 th April 2025 followed by “ Heritage yatra”, from23 rd to 26 th April 2025.
To promote awareness and for the appreciation of the city’s rich cultural and historical legacy, Members of our ROOTS AND RICHES CLUB, actively participated in this event for gaining invaluable insights into Pune’s glorious past and architectural marvels.

Location: the “Kalagram,” a cultural space inside Pu La Deshpande Garden on Sinhagad Road.

Learning and Outcomes:
Deepened understanding of Pune’s historical and cultural roots
Developed greater appreciation for conservation and heritage management
Inspired our club members to participate in heritage preservation activities
Conclusion:
The Heritage Walk organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation was an enriching and memorable experience. It strengthened our connection to our city’s past and encouraged us to actively contribute to protecting its heritage. We thank the organizers and Dr. Ashwini Pethe, Principal MIT college for making all the necessary arrangements for our kids activities.
