A class picnic is an exciting and much awaited event for school students to take a break from their academic routine and enjoy some outdoor fun with their classmates and teachers. On the 19 th of December 2023, the students of class 6 of all four sections embarked on a memorable picnic to Diamond Water Park, Lohegaon. Children were brimming with undying enthusiasm and the bus journey itself was filled with a variety of activities and games that ensured everyone had a great time.
The highlight of the picnic was the location as it was in the lap of nature surrounded by a lot of trees and mountains. Against the addictive backdrop of social media and electronic gadgets, students must be consciously taken out to witness the beauty of nature and feel the peace and tranquility. This objective was clearly met as all of them spent time together and experimented different activities. The adventure activities were well planned and executed effectively keeping in mind the safety of children. Few of the activities included the Zip line, Sky rope Climbing, Ground Rope Climbing, Rock Climbing. These activities promoted teamwork and healthy competition among the students to
outshine others.
A picnic wouldn’t be complete without delicious food. The assortment of variety of food was mouth- watering and children relished it to the hearts’ content. They savoured the Pavbhaji ,noodles and gulabjamun for lunch. Breakfast and snacks were served before departure. The outing was refreshing even for the teachers as they came back rejuvenated. On the whole, it was a memorable picnic for the 6th graders and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly.
