Activity: Making Bird Feeder / Nest
Materials Required per house- Innovative ideas for the feeders/nest and made them by using different materials like waste plastic bottles/ ice cream sticks/tin can/coconut shells/oil can/ paper cups/used cartons, jute rope , Bird meal, feviquick, decorative materials etc.
Objective:
1) The idea of creating a bird feeder/ Nest for creatures and helping them with basic things that they deserve in life like food and shelter.
2) Saving the bird species from extinction.
3) To give a safe place to birds so that they can dwell, and build on their family keeping the species alive.

To sensitize students of Std VII, on saving the bird species from extinction, building a bird feeder/bird house activity was organized in the school on 18 th July 2022 in their respective classrooms.
The activity revolved around creating a bird feeder and bird house in the school area, to give a safe place to birds so that they can dwell, and build on their family keeping the species alive. During the session the students were apprised about the
importance of Bird Feeder and Nest and were also guided how to make one using the waste material. It was a delightful sight to see the enthusiasm of the students to make one by themselves.
