“It’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves” – Sir Edmund Hilary

The Sinhagad Fort belongs to the mighty Bhuleshwar range which is 3900 feet above sea-levels. To explore this adventurous fort the students of T3 club arranged their first trek on Saturday, 24 th June 2023. The students and teachers started their journey at 6:30 am in the morning to enjoy the preachy breeze and astounding scenery. To our surprise it started raining. We all reached the foothill of the fort by 9:30 am after crossing the small villages and the beautiful surroundings. The students started the trek up to the fort with enthusiasm. They were full of energy and devoted themselves to the completion of their aim. The movement of students and teachers on the narrow roads to the fort looked like a serpentine locomotion. The plateau area was in between the fort was covered with green grass. Initially, it was a difficult task for all the students to climb up on the steep slopes but they managed perfectly after one or two experiences. Our brave students with all their strength reached the end point of the fort. After reaching the summit of the fort, the students visited Pune Darwaza which faced the North – East and Kalyan Darwaja at the South – East. The fort also encompassed few historical monuments like the Tomb of Rajaram, Tanaji Malusare Memorial and Kali Mata temple. The fort is also the home for many migratory birds

The students satiated their hunger pangs with the delicious jhunka bhakri, Chapti, bhajis , rice and the thick sour curd which was served in the tiny cute earthen pot. The tasty food, the pleasant weather and the greenery around the fort made our day memorable. After the lunch they strolled over in their groups for some beautiful snapshots in the lap of nature as nature is the greatest boon for humans. At 2:30 pm the students and the teacher left the fort to trek downhill. They all enjoyed their first trek .
