“It’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves”
The third T3 Club activity was planned to Ghoradeshwar Caves which also has an ancient cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated near the old Mumbai-Pune highway, about 29 km away from Pune. The caves are located atop a steep hill and were carved from a single rock formation during the 3rd and 4th century.
The students reported to school at 6.30 am. The respective teacher in-charges took the attendance after which the students boarded the buses. We reached the base of the hill at 8am, following this snacks were distributed to students and we began the ascent. It took 40 minutes for us to reach the top. Once we reached the top, students were given time to enjoy the scenic beauty and have their snacks. After this we began descending and another route was taken so that the students could get to see the caves and the temple. On reaching the base, the students were given snacks, after taking a head count we departed for school. We reached the school by 11.30am.
