National Level Pilot in Operationalizing Vocational Education under NEP (2020) and NCF(2023)

Report of Parent Orientation

VPMS Pune is selected amongst 100 schools from all over India to be part of a pilot project for grades 9-10 featuring a multi-sector skill education approach, the first of its kind under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum framework 2023. This initiative is designed to integrate multiple sectors into skill education, providing holistic exposure to students and addressing critical gaps in employability skills.

40 students of std 9 have registered for this Pilot Program. The parent orientation was conducted on 27 th January, 2025 in Seminar Hall.

Objective of Pilot Project:
1. To integrate vocational education into mainstream education.
2. Empower youth with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities by bridging education and livelihood
3. Provide students with exposure to six different sectors, equipping them with foundational skills and career readiness

The pilot includes classroom learning through practical sessions, guest lectures, and industry visits across three different skills in each grade .The training will be provided in the school. Lend
A hand India (LAHI) appointed by CBSE will be providing the technical support, student handbooks, tools & equipment. The highlights of the program:
 6 sectors Mechatronics, Coding, Agriculture, Finance, Healthcare and Fashion will be covered in this program
 Duration of Pilot : February to October (2025)
