Sr. KG Greet and Meet Report for February: “Talk on My Country/Festivals”

The students of Sr. KG had the topic of “My Country/Festivals” as a part of the “Greet and Meet” session for the month of February 2025.They were encouraged to speak on a topic taught in the class, which helped in promoting learning, creativity and public speaking skills.
The objective of choosing this topic was to reinforce learning and retention of the topic. The handmade props encouraged children to think creatively and develop problem-solving skills. It also helped children to build confidence in their abilities to present their work to the class.
The students spoke about geographical features, different states of country and national symbols of their country. They proudly shared interesting facts and traditions, showcasing their love and appreciation for their homeland. Students also presented on various festivals celebrated in their country, highlighting the significance, customs and traditions associated with each festivals with creative handmade props, such as flags, maps, and festival related accessories. They shared their personal experiences and favourite festival memories too.
This activity not only helped develop their public speaking skills but also fostered a sense of national pride and appreciation for cultural diversity.
