Preprimary Parent Session Report
Topic: – ‘ Parent’s Alchemy ’
On April 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2025, Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune, hosted ‘Parent’s Alchemy’ workshops guided by Principal Ms. Mrinalini Fernandes featuring valuable insights from school counsellors Ms. Mrunmayee Harshe and Ms. Sucheta Mithari for parents of preprimary section. This insightful sharing equipped parents with essential skills to nurture values and foster positive attitudes, strengthening the collaboration between the school and parents.
The sessions explored the unique transformative journey of parents in nurturing their children’s growth, character, and potential. The
counsellors highlighted the significance of utilizing a child’s early years to shape their character. By illustrating how daily challenges
can become opportunities to build connections and instil core values like cooperation, empathy, patience, and respect, they emphasised the importance of parents as role models. Strategies were shared to empower children’s independence, enabling parents to discover essential skills.
The workshop underscored the pivotal role of schools in cultivating values and the right attitude from the pre-primary years. It highlighted that strong collaboration between parents and the school can facilitate a supportive community, providing children with the necessary reinforcement they need.
