Report on School Educational Visit to Eco Valley Farms & Foods Ltd

As part of the CBSE Kaushal Vikas (Skill Development) Initiative, 115 students of Class IX visited Eco Valley Farms & Foods Ltd., Village Bakori, Taluka Haveli, Pune – 412207, on Thursday, 30th July 2026. The visit was organised with the objective of promoting experiential learning and vocational awareness by providing students with firsthand exposure to the scientific and commercial aspects of mushroom cultivation.

The visit offered an excellent opportunity for students to understand mushroom farming as a sustainable agri-based enterprise. Guided by experienced farm personnel, the students observed every stage of mushroom production, including compost preparation, spawning, incubation, maintenance of optimal temperature and humidity, harvesting, grading, packaging, and storage. They also gained valuable insights into the hygiene standards and quality control measures essential for successful cultivation.

An interactive session with the farm experts enabled students to explore the entrepreneurial potential of mushroom farming. They learned about the efficient utilisation of agricultural waste, production techniques and the employment opportunities associated with this growing sector. The visit highlighted the role of innovation and scientific practices in modern agriculture while reinforcing the importance of environmental sustainability.

The field trip successfully fulfilled the objectives of the CBSE Kaushal Vikas programme by integrating classroom learning with practical experience. Students enhanced their understanding of sustainable farming practices, developed critical observation and analytical skills, and appreciated the significance of vocational education in today’s world. The activity also encouraged teamwork, curiosity, and informed career awareness.

The educational visit proved to be both enriching and inspiring, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for agriculture as a science-driven and entrepreneurial field. Such experiential learning opportunities contribute significantly to the holistic development of learners and strengthen the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, and environmentally conscious citizens.
