As part of the Biodiversity Register Club and Biodiversity Skill Education Programme, various activities were conducted for Grade VI students between April 2026 to August 2026 to promote awareness of biodiversity, environmental conservation, and sustainable practices. Students visited the Empress Botanical Garden, Pune on 13th June 2026, where they observed and documented different plants, birds, butterflies, and insects. The visit helped them understand biodiversity and the importance of conserving natural habitats. On 27th June 2026, an informative lecture by Mr. Sharad Gund, an experienced farmer, introduced students to farming techniques, organic farming, soil and water conservation, sustainable agriculture, and challenges faced by farmers. A Tree Plantation and Nature Observation Activity conducted on 11th April encouraged students to identify and appreciate plants, birds, and insects around the school campus. Students also participated in a poster-making activity on biodiversity conservation. Overall, these activities enhanced students’ observation, documentation, creativity, and environmental awareness, inspiring them to become responsible citizens and protect biodiversity. Orals and written assessment were conducted along followed by submission of scrap book and portfolio.
