Earth Day Celebration

Earth is not just our home, it’s our responsibility—protect it today for a greener tomorrow.

Every small action counts; together, we can heal the planet.

Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to take responsibility towards protecting Mother Earth.

The day began with a class assembly highlighting the importance of conserving natural resources and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.

A series of informative and inspiring activities was organised for different grades. Students of Grade 5 watched an engaging documentary titled “Let’s Celebrate Earth Day! How to Take Care of the Environment?”, which helped them understand simple ways to protect the environment.

Students from Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12 were shown two impactful documentaries—“His Epic Message Will Make You Want to Save the World” and “Sir David Attenborough: How to Save Our Planet.” These videos created awareness about global environmental challenges and motivated students to become responsible global citizens.

To further reinforce the message, the English and Hindi Departments conducted writing activities. Students expressed their thoughts through topics like “What I Can Do for Earth” and “पृथ्वी के लिए मैं क्या कर सकता/सकती हूँ — प्रकृति के प्रति कृतज्ञता का संदेश,” fostering a sense of gratitude and responsibility towards nature.

The Art & Craft Department organized poster-making activities on themes such as “Save Earth,” “Go Green,” and “My Dream Planet,” allowing students to creatively express their ideas on environmental conservation.

A special highlight of the day was the Cleanliness Drive undertaken by Grade 10 students in the local area. This initiative was organised in collaboration with ex-student Pratyush Sancheti (2025–26) and Maza Maharashtra Mission. The activity encouraged teamwork and instilled a sense of civic responsibility among students.

The school also observed a No-Plastic Day, urging everyone to avoid single-use plastics and adopt eco-friendly alternatives like reusable bottles, tiffins, and cloth bags.

The celebration concluded with a strong message that even small steps can lead to significant changes. The activities successfully inspired students to contribute towards making the Earth greener, cleaner, and a better place to live.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to our respected Principal, Ms. Mrinalini Fernandes, for her constant support, encouragement, and motivation in making this initiative a meaningful and successful event.
