Knowledge on financial literacy at a young age is always beneficial for every individual.
Students of Class VI had a financial literacy workshop, in- continuation on the term learnt in Term I. Students were briefed about different banks like private, nationalized and co-operative banks. The resource person, Ms. Shruti Shah an ex-student of VPMS, Pune also gave them insights about how Reserve Bank of India operates.
Through an interactive session, students were also informed about credit and debit cards, difference between the two and were shown videos to help them understand better. Students showed keen interest in learning the concept of compound interest in brief and how it is applicable on credit borrowing.
The 50 minutes insightful session was conducted with a questionnaire round at the end which was actively participated in by the students.
