Activity: Master Chefs Competition (Together with passion) The foundation of good health is teaching kids to cook. Gourmet Central Club organized Master Chef Competition as a last activity of the year.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY:
The aim of the activity to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest.
Selecting the correct ingredients to plan and prepare a nutritious menu
Make healthy food choices cook, serve, and eat correctly
Application of Science and Math, like measuring quantities for the correct mix.
Share good conversations and camaraderie
Gain a sense of accomplishment

A cooking competition was organized for the students of Gourmet Central Club. Which witnessed the enthusiastic participation from the students and teachers.
Everyone participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The students prepared healthy full nutritious meal from appetizer to dessert. All eight finalists performed their responsibilities pretty well, cutting, chopping, peeling cooking and plating their lip smacking recipes. Lemon Mojito, Vegetable spring rolls, Mix veg-patty burger, Paneer salsa and Apple Crumble topped with ice-cream full of nutrition. They served the dishes in an artistic way which was most appealing. Whereas teachers also showcased their expertise. They prepared last minutes starters Honey chilly potatoes and Broccoli almond soup with crostini. These quick recipes created a lot of buzz among children. Tough they prepared the dishes separately but presented together. The panel of judges were Mrs. Mrunmayee Harshe and Mr. Tanmay Mathew who judged based on Taste, Hygiene, Team work, Presentation, Nutritional value, Taste and Creativity. They tasted each dish attentively, noting its scents, textures, and flavors. The ability to perfectly execute recipes, balance flavors, and produce. Aesthetically pleasing dishes allowed for the identification of the best performers. Paneer Salsa and broccoli almond soup was on the top. All in all, the culinary competition proved to be a wonderful success, bringing joy to all those who took part. Through this activity the students learnt the spirit of teamwork, culinary skills, appreciating the hard work put into cooking. Our budding chefs also spoke about the dish prepared by them and its nutritive value. Earnest efforts of children could be seen with the colorful pics.
The presentations of the students were highly appreciated by the school’s higher authorities.
