Report on Greet and Meet – Topic: Fruits

 Date: Tuesday, 2nd December – Friday, 5th December 2025

Topic: Fruits

Participants: Jr. KG A, B, C, D

The Jr. KG students enthusiastically participated in an exciting and informative “Greet and Meet” activity.  The theme for the month was Fruits, and the activity aimed to build children’s vocabulary, communication skills, and awareness of healthy eating habits.

To make the event lively and visually appealing, the children came dressed as different fruits or brought along fruit-related pictures and objects. Each child introduced themselves and spoke a few lines about their chosen fruit—describing its appearance, taste, nutritional value, and even sharing interesting facts such as where it grows and how it benefits our health.

The activity created a warm and supportive environment that encouraged even the shy students to participate, by “becoming” different fruits, children felt more confident and less anxious while speaking. It also promoted peer learning, as children listened to one another and tried to present their lines with clarity and confidence.

Overall, the activity greatly enhanced the children’s speaking skills by providing a fun, engaging, and encouraging platform for oral communication practice. It also nurtured a healthy interest in eating fruits regularly—an essential step toward building good eating habits from a young age.
