Venue: Field Trip to Nutra Supplements

The fourth session of the Groomed Genz Club was an enriching and memorable experience, as the students had the opportunity to visit the Nutra Supplements factory located at Kasurdi. The visit generated great enthusiasm among the students, as it was a unique chance to explore a real-time production unit and learn about nutritional supplements.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Asmita Chaudhari and Ms. Leena Khandekar, the owners of the factory. She conducted an engaging introduction session, explaining the wide range of products manufactured by the company, the markets they cater to, and their clientele. Students were fascinated to learn that Nutra Supplements supplies products primarily to the military and sports professionals.
Following the interaction, the students were served breakfast and then attended an informative session on the significance of supplements in modern lifestyles. The session emphasized why nutritional supplements are essential and how they support health and performance.
Before entering the production unit, students adhered to strict safety and hygiene protocols. They had to wear lab coats, masks, hair covers, slippers, and avoid carrying any metallic objects.
The visit to the factory was divided into two major sections: Dry Product Section and Wet Product Section.

Dry Product Section
1. Reception Area – Preparation for entry into the production unit.
2. Sprouting Area – Demonstration of the sprouting process of pulses.
3. Dehydration Machine – Observation of temperature-controlled dehydration.
4. Grinding Machine – Mixing of ingredients to form the supplement base.
5. Packaging Unit – Packing and labeling of finished products.
6. Metal Detector – Final safety check of packaged products.

Wet Product Section
1. Wet Mixing Machine – Combination of ingredients such as dates and raisins.

2. Dough Machine – Preparation of dough for protein bars.
3. Bar Cutting Unit – Precision cutting of dough into equal portions.
4. Packing Unit – Packaging of protein bars.
5. Metal Detector – Final quality check of finished protein bars.
The field trip concluded with a lively discussion among the students on nutrition, dietary needs, and the importance of supplements in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The session not only enhanced their knowledge about the production process but also fostered an appreciation for the role of science and technology in food processing.
Overall, the visit to Nutra Supplements proved to be both educational and inspiring, leaving the students with valuable insights and motivation to explore further learning opportunities in upcoming Groomed Genz sessions.
