Report on Kaleidoscope- Interdisciplinary Exhibition

The ‘Kaleidoscope’ exhibition, held on February 8th, 2025, showcased a rich tapestry of intellectual exploration, seamlessly integrating multiple disciplines to foster a dynamic and immersive educational experience. The primary objective of this grand event was to provide a
distinguished platform for students to exhibit their ingenuity and the vast knowledge they had amassed throughout the academic year. Spanning from the precision of mathematics, to the marvels of science, and to the cutting-edge realm of robotics, the students eloquently
demonstrated their expertise across diverse fields.
The exhibition commenced at 8:30 AM in the atrium, graced by the presence of the esteemed chief guests, honourable Chairman sir Dr. Ashok Vikhe Patil and Mrs. Nandini Vikhe Patil Joint Secretary, Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation Director, School’s Programme with the Principal, Ms. Mrinalini Fernandes, presiding over the inaugural ceremony. The Skating-Taekwondo area, AV room, Seminar Hall and the third floor classrooms transformed into a hub of innovation, featuring exhibits from the SST, Math, Science, English, Hindi, Marathi, French, Art, Yoga, Dance, Little Innovators, Space and Astronomy, Robotics Club and Pune Climate Warrior. Within the SST section, a special live performance by historical heroes caught everyone’s attention. Various exhibits on monuments, the stone age and various civilizations, the environment, the water cycle, volcanoes and the tribes of Maharashtra and Sikkim were displayed.
Within the Science section, the students conducted enthralling experiments, meticulously crafted engaging charts, and constructed striking 2D/3D models under the adept guidance of their science mentors. Their unwavering confidence and fervour shone through as they articulated their projects, encompassing themes such as Calcium carbide gun, Hydro safe walker, microscopic world, sustainability, human body mechanisms, Space missions, protective keychain for women, electrolysis, hydroponics, vibration module for deaf people, two-way mirror. The exhibition served as a catalyst, igniting curiosity and a profound appreciation for the wonders of science among young minds.
In the Math section, students displayed an array of insightful journals, Subject Enrichment Activities (SEA), intricate puzzles, thought-provoking math games, and analytical survey-based projects. The seamless incorporation of languages and social sciences underscored the
interconnected nature of knowledge. The English presentation boasted an inviting reading corner
and an impressive repertoire of creative writing themes, including autobiographies, notices, short stories, poetry, and insights into celebrated authors explored throughout the academic year. Additionally, language games, tongue twisters, limericks, and visually captivating grammar- based charts added vibrancy to the display. The Hindi and Marathi sections captivated audiences with interactive puzzles, language-centric games, curriculum-driven charts, and meticulously crafted models on public transport, all eloquently explained by students in Hindi and Marathi. The French department took the visitors to France and gave them a tour of their monuments, food, culture , school and country players.
The Art Department masterfully curated a visually stunning display of student artwork produced over this academic year. In alignment with the school’s commitment to environmental consciousness, various innovative green projects and interactive games, conceptualized by
students under the ” Pune Climate Warrior” initiative, were prominently featured. Beyond academics, the inclusion of Yoga and Dance underscored a holistic approach to education. An eco-friendly feedback collection method was also embraced. This remarkable event not only celebrated academic brilliance but also highlighted the significance of nurturing well-rounded, inquisitive, and forward-thinking individuals within the Middle School community.
