Report on Orientation Programme for Existing Students
Lower Primary Section
2025-26
To lay a strong foundation for the academic year 2025–26 and to nurture a collaborative relationship between school and home, Parent Orientation Sessions were conducted on the 2 nd , 3 rd and 4 th of April 2025 for Grades 1, 2, and 3 respectively. These sessions aimed to offer parents a comprehensive understanding of the school’s academic vision, operational framework and the year’s objectives.
The common Parent Orientation session began on a warm and welcoming note, creating a positive atmosphere for open communication. The session provided insights into the academic structure, assessment framework and curriculum goals for the year, ensuring that parents were well-informed about their child’s learning path.
In addition to academics, the session highlighted the school’s infrastructure and commitment to holistic development. Parents were familiarized with safety measures, student support systems, and wellness services available on campus. Information regarding vendors for uniforms, books, transport and meals was also shared, offering clarity and transparency in the services provided by the school.
A key feature of the orientation was the open forum at the end, where parents had the opportunity to raise queries and engage in discussion. This interaction reinforced the school’s dedication to building trust and encouraging open communication with families.
Following the common session, parents proceeded to individual Classroom Orientation Sessions, conducted by the respective class teachers. These sessions offered a more detailed look into the day-to-day functioning of the classroom. Teachers shared the daily timetable, subject plans, expectations and modes of communication between school and home. This personal interaction helped build rapport between teachers and parents and encouraged a joint approach to each child’s academic and emotional well-being.
Overall, the orientation sessions were well-received and set a positive tone for the months ahead. The initiative successfully bridged the gap between home and school, fostering a sense of involvement, assurance and shared purpose among parents and educators alike.
