“Astronomy compels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another”
The star gazing activity was organized for the Space and astronomy club students of class VI to X on Saturday 17 th and 18th December 2022 at Gunjan Farms Panshet Pune.
The journey started from the school at noon on Saturday 17 th December and continued till the next day. The place was surrounded by nature making it an ideal stargazing location with dark skies and bright stars. A presentation related to astronomy as a stream of science was given by the resource person. The gazing offered an astronomical experience where students were able to orient the actual sky with the star gazing application correctly and were able to see the constellations of stars, Saturn, Moon, and Mars. Students used telescopes to bring into focus the wonders of the night sky and made use of the opportunity to understand the basics of space science by engaging in discussions with the resource person. The team of instructors was friendly and systematically arranged the events keeping students entertained with team-building activities.We are grateful to our principal Ms. Mrinalini for supporting us and giving this opportunity to explore and experience beyond the classroom. The children enjoyed themselves to the fullest and will cherish these memories for years to come.
