Report on Activity of the Month- Number Art and Pattern Art

Date: Tuesday, 12 th November 2024
Venue: Std IV & V Classrooms
Event: Activity of the Month
Grade IV: Number Art
Grade V: Pattern Art

The students of Std IV and V participated in ‘Number Art’ and ‘Pattern Drawing’ as the activity for the month. Students of Grade IV used numerals as the primary focus of their artwork. Using their creativity, students transformed the numbers into animals, things and
other figurines. With the new characters thus formed, they weaved a short story out of it.
Some students preferred to do artwork, like patterns and mandala on the numerals. The students of grade V drew patterns which required precision and control. Their enthusiasm was palpable as pencils took their positions on paper and within no time the plain sheets transformed into beautiful patterns. It was heartening to see them express themselves through unique designs, innovative thought patterns and personal styles. It was an invaluable activity for children that offered numerous developmental benefits while fostering a love for
art and creativity. Students enjoyed the creative process and expressed satisfaction with their final artwork.
